Massachusetts Youth Soccer offers coaching education opportunities from its nationally recognized coaching education leaders through two pathways: The US Soccer Coaching License pathway and United Soccer Coaches Coaching Diploma pathway. The pathway you choose is ultimately a personal preference, based on your level of experience, the age groups you are currently coaching, and the age groups you plan to coach in the future.
Why Are There Two Different Pathways?
For those coaches looking to improve their ability to contribute to our town program, the United Soccer Coaches pathway is typically recommended. United Soccer Coaches offers courses designed for less experienced coaches who are coaching 4 v 4 format, 7 v 7 – 9 v 9 format and 11 v 11 format.
For those who are looking for more advanced coaching instruction, the US Soccer Coaching License pathway is also available.
